I shall be travelling oop north to see that old scallywag @pencilsqueezer next Sunday (13th December). We’re gonna do lunch at Telfords Warehouse, Chester around noon and then chew the fat as the afternoon drifts by. If you’d like to join us for a pre Xmas mingle then please come along

I see there`s a stagecoach leaves Newton-Le-Willows at 5.30 am, managed to book the last standing place at the back so I`ll be there hopefully for lunch provided the Cheshire plains aren`t waterlogged.
I am also planning to be there providing not too hungover from a family do the night before. Baron owes mew a pint anyway – did he say drinks were on him?
He mewed exactly that when I saw him yesterday Steve. Then he clawed up the furniture and ran up the curtains.

5:30 am! I’m not sure what DFB has planned yet but if he isn’t picking me up from home I’ll try to travel into Chester early and keep you company.

I’ve always thought there was more than a hint of Lady Penelope about our Beany.
An enjoyable day out beside the Shropshire Canal with 7 worthy Afterworders in attendance; Pencilsqueezer, DFB, Beany, Mike H, Baron Harkonnen, Steve T and Vince Black. Everybody on good form. Decent lunch, beer in moderation(obviously), a load of chat, some of which would probably qualify as Afterword bollocks. Lots of arm waving, particularly when describing musical performances. Toot that flute!
