Loved this sort of stuff in my mid teens. Saw MSG a few times, Scorpions too. Then I discovered Yes, Pink Floyd and Genesis and I left the hard rock bands behind. No fuss, no drama .. just found something that resonated more. Still does to this day. I’ve played Strangers In The Night a few times over the decades and it’s okay .. but not a patch on Yessongs or Seconds Out.
And I don’t mean to imply that prog is in anyway superior to hard rock. It isn’t. Just that I hadn’t found my tribe until a bit later when I was about 17 or 18.
Or even 1977. But you’re absolutely correct. Not the best advert for rock bands or society in general. Watched about 20 mins of the Motley Crue biopic ‘The Dirt’ yesterday. Highlights these issues persisted way into the 1980s. Personally glad things have changed in this regard.

And Schenker was/is a fine guitarist.

I too went on that journey when I was 16-17.
The point of the blog was to show how sexist society was in rock circles in 1974…

Although released in different times, did the cover of ‘Force It’ not say it all?

With cover stars Genesis P-Orridge and Cosey Fanni Tutti, almost certainly the only collaboration between UFO and Throbbing Gristle.

Can’t stand casual sexism. If you can’t be bothered to put your back into it don’t bother.
