Quite by chance I’ve just found out that everyone’s favourite under the radar janglers released a new single towards the end of last year. It’s flipping great and deserves more love. There’s a Shadow is possibly the best thing they’ve ever done.

And this is pretty bloody good too.
It was available as a 4-track 12″ or CD EP from the cash drain which is Last Night From Glasgow records, but is sold out.
As is their previous AA 7″, which I did buy, Ways / The Closer You Move Away From Me:
Lovely jangles and vocals, Glaswegiana at its finest, even if, I think, from Embra. Not on Bandcamp, sadly, but much of their back cat is.(Bandcamp Friday tomorrow, doncha know…..)
In the UK, the Trashcan’s back catalogue is on not-for-profit label Last Night From Glasgow records, which avoids the Bandcamp store US pricing & postage.

Remastered debut, Cake, coming in October.
Mr Fenton Sir, is that the same label you can get Goodbye Mr Mackenzie stuff from?
No, that’s Neon Tetra (a label and publishing co). LNFG is a label and a shop.
Confusingly, you can but the Neon Tetra remaster of Good Deeds and Dirty Rags in the LNFG shop.
Ah. I see. Thanks, I knew I recognised the name from somewhere.
Have you heard the offshoot, The Filthy Tongues? Kind of a Scottish version of the Bad Seeds. Ish.
