While setting this to record I couldn’t help but notice that there is another about The Scottish Band a couple of hours later. What you do with this information is your own affair.
I have the DVD (released a fair number of years back). The early days stuff is great – lots of interviewees. Mick Abrahams gives good value. And then it’s like the production company lost interest or ran out of cash circa ‘Songs From the Wood’. Definitely worth watching 🙂
Watched the first 40 mins tonight with the fragrant Mrs. T and really enjoyed it. I haven’t seen it before. Looking forward to the rest of it. A bit more music would be good. Nice to see John Evans emerging from self imposed isolation too.
In the 20 or so words available to them Sky describes the Living In The Past hit-makers as a “classic rock band from Luton.”
Do they have a link with Luton, or are Sky getting confused with Harry Haslam?

Why this was not on for Burns night escapes me. It might have been, for all I know.
Thanks. Will make sure I am out at that time 😉
I knew there’d be one.
Sorry, I don’t feel proud of myself. Enjoy the programme.
I can see that it was irresistible.
Thank you. Sky box set to record.
Pretty sure that this has been on before. Well worth watching if you’ve not caught it, though
Don’t think so. I’ve seen a few others mind.

Has it got the reunion in a London pub? I’ve got that one.
You got me on “the early days stuff is great.”
No, it’s a later one – titled ‘Classic Artists’ (the DVD as well as the Sky show).

You have a great wife there @Twang
True…

Or maybe confusing with Paul Young.
Wherever I Lay My Aqualung That’s My Home
That’s where Mick Abrahams lived and the band based themselves in the early days. I think Ian had a part time job at the local cinema.
Anderson was a cleaner at the Ritz ( which became a bingo club in the early 70s). I think Anderson moved to Luton with the John Evan Band.
Finally got around to watching this. It’s good but no mention of Songs From The Wood, Heavy Horses, Stormwatch, Minstrel…? Weird.
