Cats do have a fascination for turntables.
Many moons ago I was playing an LP of avant gard guitar jazz at a friend’s house. Her cat went for the turntable like a demon posessed.
Indeed they do. Many years ago I had a cat who regularly got on the turntable lid when a disc was spinning. She would paw away for a while until she realised she was never going to scratch through to the record. It meant closing the lid was de rigueur when she was around.
I note the manufacturers also sell a tank designed for your pet moggy to have fun with. Do cats have a fascination with military history?

Encouraging cats to play with a turntable could be expensive.
In much the same way as gardeners plant daffodils around Hostas to keep hungry deer away, I keep my laptop on charge next to my turntable, as our cat prefers the warmth of a Toshiba Satellite Pro on standby over the cold dustcover of my Linn.
Surely @fentonsteve, Kitty should just by a Fiio?
Our tortoiseshell is more of an Analogue Warmth kind of moggy. If I had valve amps she’d be fried in no time.

On our occasional summer visits to see the Rays at Tropicana Field, DJ Kitty often appears on the giant screens to “get the crowd going”
