I hadn’t seen this before – Clive Franks on how he compiled the Troggs Tape. Great story. There’s a lovely George Harrison anecdote towards the end too.

It’s amazing how the Troggs Tape has gone into rock folklore. I’ve got a Led Zeppelin bootleg where Plant quotes from it and there’s a Jeff Beck track which tags a line from the real thing on the end (Wild Thing from memory)
