What does it sound like?:
Like me, your knowledge of The Strawbs probably starts and ends with a couple of singles in the early seventies, a possible passing reference to alumni Rick Wakeman, Sandy Denny and both Hudson and Ford, and a familiarity with their album covers which only comes from repeated exposure to them in second-hand record shops.

What does it all *mean*?
In short, far more than a one trick pony, they must dread hearing requests for that single at their gigs even more than Ralph McTell does at his, as this strong collection of modern progressive rock is only let down in it’s execution by one small, but significant aspect.
