Mick Jagger reminds us that when we ask, ‘who killed the Kennedy’s’, the answer is that it was you and me. That’s profound off the scale. I, you and all the others killed the Kennedy’s. They themselves played no role in it whatsoever and any suggestion of reneged on deals with the Chicago Mafia crime family or the Teamsters union is simply shirking one’s own responsibility for their deaths.
The reason I remind us all of this today is because a long time poster appears no longer to be with us. Saucecraft has left the AW building.
In my Saucecraft Appreciation Depository thread a couple of months back I stated clearly and for the record that unless posters made an effort that day to express their appreciation for the man and his work then he would leave the site for good. I knew this to be so because in a series of frank and open private messages he had confided in me earlier that week that he felt under-appreciated on AW and that he planned to leave unless things changed “pdq”.
Well, that has come to pass, and although some of you – you know who you are – made an effort, others, well, let’s just say that others might have tried just a little bit harder.
So, to paraphrase the Jagger ‘who killed the Saucecraft?’. I think you know the answer to that one. I think you know it.
