Someone’s made up an imaginary back-story for their “unreleased” album of KLF-like Chill Out-like ambient techno. Complete with faked gig posters, ticket stubs, NME reviews.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find the evil hands of Drummond & Caulty are behind the curtain.
From their website:
Who were The NRG, were they the kings of Ambient? Did they even exist? Did they really delete all their back catalogue? How did they become so successful in the USA?
So many questions…

If it isn’t The Orb I’m sure they’re watching very closely.
Live ’93 is an extraordinary album.
Yeah, I prefer their earlier stuff too.
Who were The KLF, were they the kings of Shyte? Why did they even exist? Should they never have released their catalogue never mind delete it? Why did the USA fall for their bombastic twaddle?
So many questions…

I love KLF and not just the music.
Just checked and whole album is on Spotify, as the KLF thaw to the green dot monster. Listened to track 1 and the 90s vibes are palpable even if made last year.
Is the 90s a long time ago, then?
Asking for a friend who is in denial about how old I am, sorry he is.
