Hot in The Afterword Recently Updated, we have a thread on Michael Jackson and another on cover versions. The world is very fortunate because NATO foreign ministers have been meeting in Turkey. They obviously are very keen Afterworders. At the end of a very refreshing dinner, they obviously decided that we needed something to bring us all together and set aside our recent minor disagreements. What better than a unifying performance of a Michael Jackson song*?
Watch the YouTube clip and be uplifted. I’m sure you agree we should be thankful that such wonderful people are looking out for us!
* Yes, I do know Lionel Richie is partly to blame.
That was both beautiful and very moving.
Arf!
Some things should NEVER be posted on YouTube! I cringed a thousand times. In two minutes.
Oooh! That’s a lot of cringes. 500 per minute or 8.33 per second.
If that’s not enough, try watching Putin’s man-of-the-match performance at Ice Hockey.

Good point, well made. That’s awful.
As Frank Carson would say…..”and there’s more…”
Issued with fair warning…………..!
I didn’t get to the end. Is the Vincent Price bit performed by Bernard Manning?
Can you imagine?! Amazing!!
Either Manning or Morrissey.
I was spared by the response “This Video Is Not Available In Your Country”!
Is there such a thing as a dignified and non-embarrassing cover of a Jack Michaelson song?
Even Miles Davis struggles…
Human Nature. Possibly the worst track he ever recorded!
Wait. I’ve thought of a good one!
Gloria Gaynor – Never Can Say Goodbye
I’d go as far as to say that this one is dignified. Whether it is any good or not is another question.
Willie Nelson – She’s Out Of My Life
Speaking of Emarrassment
Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough
EMBARRASSMENT!
*cheeks flush*
Contains Flash. That’s the superhero Flash.
Thanks Beany. That was much better than I imagined!
