This is fun (if you have any interest in footie that is)
I will lay down my marker now – 285.74 miles – this will only make sense when you click on the link.
… and no googling

I ran out of miles on Level 4.
Same as me Jim.
I thought Priestfield was Shrewsbury đ
I put Field Mill in Macclesfield
328 miles. Total fluke for some of them.
112.27, beating 95% of die hards, get in!
Only one that I got asked that I haven’t been to was Mansfield’s ground.
I was doing very well on level 4 before moving my finger over the new-fangled trackpad thingie. I placed Roots Hall somewhere deep inside The Ukraine. A mere 1290 miles out I think you will find.
Colchester 1 Dynamo Kiev 36
ahem, Roots Hall is Southend United.
Yeah but yeah, Southend is only 40 miles or so from Colchester so I would still have been a mere 1250 miles better off!
I was doing well on Level 1, I was spot on with Turf Moor, but I had a severe brain lapse in Level 2 and for some reason I thought that Boleyn Ground was Derby County’s stadium….West Ham apparently, which I always knew as Upton Park. Oh well. I might have had better luck with Scottish grounds.
You did better than most Burnley fans then davidks đ
Burnley is known as Darwins waiting room after all!
211.28 miles out beating 83% of die-hards. Not quite on Paul Wad’s level but if it’s a team game then Barnsley are running away with this!
Can’t remember my score, but it’s great fun. Had to get a couple of clues (forgot who played at the Racecourse ground – how could I forget Mickey Thomas’s free kick) but an excellent lunchtime time waster. Cheers!
Beat 94% of die hards as an Armchair fan. Rather pleased t b h
Ran out on level 4 (for Memorial Stadium I chose Morecambe rather than Bristol (no idea why?) – lost 155 miles.
“You got further than 80% of your fellow die-hards who lost.”
Second attempt – Completed
“You were a total of 456.23 miles out!”
Good game, ran out of miles on level 4. I was stumped by Memorial Ground.
Aye, that was did for 75% of my miles. So-called Keepmoat Stadium did for the rest. 94% better than armchairers etc etc
I can see the Memorial Ground from my window on a clear day. New York Stadium though….pffft.
Ran out of miles on level 5. Had Huish Park as Wycombe, not Yeovil.
Missed the Riverside by about 200 yards. I’ve only been there about 300 times…
Another go – finished 168 miles out in total. Bloody Aggborough!
Ran out of miles right at the end of level 4. I found that if I didn’t know, clicking on somewhere in the northwest usually got me through.
A smack bang right in the middle guess for every question got me to the end of level 4.
I fared even worse on my second attempt when a stray click of the mouse made me put Ibrox in Somerset.
That’d be because the Rangers supporters would want to be close to the Buckfast Abbey.
How very dare you. Buckfastleigh’s in Devon.
Close enough for a Gers fan.
Yeovil Town play in green hoops, like Celtic.
And they’ve never played in the top division. Like Rangers.
*runs off*
169.32 miles. I would be better if they used the “old” stadiums and their names like the Goldstone Ground rather than the Amex and the Ipro.
“It would be better if they used the âoldâ stadiums and their names ”
Listen to Salty on this point.
Completed (finally) but 542 miles out.
Played several times, but not once has Home Park come up. It’s an outrage. I’m outraged.
Was about to make the same observation (complaint?) about the Madejski Stadium, but in anothe addictive attempt, it came up. No sign yet of The Dell or The Baseball Ground
Derby and the scummers play elsewhere now – Pride Park and St Marys. Think I had both of those come up. Whenever St James Park turns up I’m tempted to click on Exeter to see what happens, but that is a hell of a lot of miles to lose.
Hadn’t realised the Mecca of football was in there ie The New York Stadium ! II need to have another go now
