I heard this on the radio today and it’s marvellous. I honestly though it was an old school eighties post-disco electro track at first, but a bit of generic phasing and the use of the word “hashtag” in the lyrics gave it away as new. It’s by Bruno Mars, it’s called 24K Magic, and I can’t wait for the album.

Yep very good, and very Eighties with a right-now sheen. Not sure about a whole LP though… might wait for the greatest hits 🙂
If it wasn’t for the vocals it’d be great. Hate that vocoder-ed sound with passion.
As mentioned it has a very ’80s highly danceable groove, but I can’t get past that vocal sound. At least not while sober.
It’s a dirty rotten shame that it makes me want to move my feet while blocking my ears.
The vocoder-ed bit is only the intro by someone aptly name Mr Talk Box. There may be some autotune on Bruno’s singing, but none I can hear.
There is discernable autotune.

I love Bruno Mars, genuine pop genius. The number of hits he has written or co-written is amazing.
