The traditional start of the season, it’s this Sunday and it’s Arsenal versus Chelsea.
I can’t go as I’m off to Alaska to try and photograph Brown bears fishing for salmon, my Club Wembley ticket failed to sell, if anyone would like it pm me, FCFS obvs.
A quick bump to put this on the Recently Updated menu.
Ticket now gone.
Like Arsenal v. Chelsea isn’t going to stink the place out!
If Arsenal win, cue the optimism from all concerned that this will be the season they won’t finish third (they will) and won’t get dumped out of Europe soon after Christmas (they will).
*Yawn*
I see Mourinho provided more evidence for your argument that he lacks class, by suggesting that Benitez’s wife should take care of his diet. OUCH.
A very generous offer! Wish I could take you up on it.
I’m looking forward to the return of the football season. Though I don’t think my team (Liverpool) will improve significantly. We’re at that stage of the summer where everyone thinks the new signings are going to be brilliant, even though history shows that you’re lucky if 1 or 2 them turn out to be good.
Just PM’d you Neil
Arsenal looking stronger in terms of quality players and temperament for the first time since The Invincibles. Not to say that a Devon Loch type stumble is out of the question, as we are seemingly capable of that at any time, but us fans have belief we can go all the way, which has certainly not been the case recently. A good start is what is needed !

Meaningless game as far as the season is concerned. but when did it stop being called the Charity Shield and why?
Thank you. doesn’t reflect well on the FA, but what does?
Yes, I thought it’d been changed for some sort of positive reason, but it turns out it’s just the FA being the FA.
Arsenal had a brilliant start about three years ago (all the fixtures fell into place) and they finished…..erm…..third.
A few years before that, they had a nightmare start (none of the fixtures fell into place) and they finished…..erm…..third.
Seriously, save yourself the effort, they’re going to finish third.
*Yawn*
There’s still 2 months of the cricket season left, an exciting test match in progress, Yorkshire bossing the county championship- it’s FAR too early for football.
Many thanks to Neil for the use of his Club Level ticket for the game this Sunday, it is much appreciated.
Is it the time that Arsene and the gallant boys actually beat a Mourinho Chelsea team?
What price a Petr Cech match winning save if it goes to penalties? Come on you Reds!
Well, Razor Boy, I hope you enjoyed that as much as I did.
Arsenal the better side. Mourinho making it all about him as always.
