What does it sound like?:
It sounds like the best Charlatans album you already own, only a little more fun.
Here are four guys (and bits of New Order, The Smiths, The Jam and Sharon Horgan) having a blast, successfully creating something new but still unmistakably The Charlatans.
What does it all *mean*?
It means that this, the first Charlatans vinyl I have bought since the 12″ of “The Only One I Know” is a joy. I was concerned that the guestlist might muddy the concept a bit, but it really doesn’t.
Goes well with…
An afternoon watching The Derby, backing the wrong horse, and half a glass of Chianti.
Release Date:
Might suit people who like…
Being 47, sentimental and tipsy, it’s a trip down memory lane, with new songs, if that makes sense. It’s going to suit people who like a good tune.

I haven’t got to grips with this one yet, only a couple of listens. I really enjoyed Modern Nature, they’re a band that seem to have found their stride late in their career, and good luck to them.
Just listened on Spotify. Never a huge fan but it sounds excellent! A bit more laid back, a bit of a 60’s vibe praps. Going to give it a second play.
He needs to sort his hair out though.
Edit. First track sounds like Lambchop!
