I usually regret watching….but it does have the potential for the odd ‘moment’. Kanye West has been drafted in to replace Rihana…..so knob head potential ahoy. Fireup the twitter feed!
Sat with my 14 yr old daughter, instead of her sort of moping about in her room on Twitter etc. I guess this is a bit like the old Eurovision gather round the TV for the next generation moment. Music not really my cup of tea, but then my folks never got the Clash or Discharge (the band, rather than seepage)
Anyone spotted Tony Wadsworth? He was behind Ed Sheeran when he was interviewed by PJ & Duncan. Who? He was a guest on a Word podcast. Former EMI top man and Brit Awards chairman and Boltonian of note.
Blimey! I saw this thread at 10pm and wondered when it was on – turns out it’s today! I knew I had no interest in these strange award ceremonies but I hadn’t realised to what extent I’d just blanked it all out. I did notice an article in a paper a couple of days ago and just assumed it was on in a few weeks time!
One eye on ITV, one eye on Twitter.
Thank God James Corden has been elbowed.
I’m more interested in the Champions League and Wolf Hall than the Brits.
Having looked at the nominees list, I’m decidedly underwhelmed. Not sure I could stomach too much Ant and Dec either.
Chap on R4 this morning : “The artists I like haven’t been nominated. Therefore the entire event is invalid”.
This intervention is as old as the Brits themselves.
Cannot abide award ceremonies so I’ll be watching Boardwalk Empire on DVD and drinking brandy sours.

No interest whatsoever, unfortunately everyone else in the house is glued to it so i’ll have to watch the Arsenal match on the little telly upstairs.
Is Chris de Burgh up for an award this year?
Ed Sheeran first winner, Taylor Swift opening a bit underwhelming!!!
Taylor Swift opening?
ITV1’s very liberal these days…

Jimmy Page!!!!
no one see to know who he was
Ant and Dec give me the screaming abdabs so it’s a no from me.
Has to be done… Best British video #StackridgeBrit!

Royal Blood were good
Kanye was so bleeped out it may as well had the sound off
Oh he said rude words. How terrifying. What a frightening rebel.
Only a grade-A1 prepuce like KW could make swearing, one of life’s great free pleasures, look suddenly dull – the very apogee of cretinous conformism.
Lionel Richie looks the same as he did 30 years ago!
Good surgery!
Jeez, the football was even poorer than the Brits…gave up and cleaned the freezer out instead.
really? i quite enjoyed it.

Top bloke. It was the beginning of the end for EMI when he left or perhaps he could see it was hopeless.

Jimmy Carr fell flat.
And so did Madonna – literally. Highlight of the night.
was Jarvis Cocker responsible?
My money’s on Kanye 🙂
Ooh, poor Madge though, that was a heck of a fall. Someone’s getting fired.
It was her fault, wasn’t it? She couldn’t open the cape in time! However, she proved she’s a trooper! She’s my age, you know.
Ah, but I bet she has a lackey to tie the bow!
Thank goodness she’s in such good shape (obvs not as good shape as you, tigs).

Quite right. Did Rick Wakeman die in vain???
In a fit of exciteableness I just bought Ed Sheeran’s album. On vinyl obvs.
Now now, mini. Take a deep breath. We don’t want you to get over-excited.
Like a ginger lad, do yer?
*sidles up, leering*
*gets tasered*
Yikes!

New Madonna tribute act: Get Cape Wear Cape Fall Over.
Materi-fall Girl?
True (Black &) Blue
Yowsers! I’ll tumble for yer…Still a good test of how Vine works on the new webite eh?
Madge falls at first hurdle of Superman audition
Madonna’s fall?
Completely orchestrated.
I know a stage fall when I see one.
I’m a bit of a cynical old sod but the way the dancers end up almost anticipating her tumble makes me a wee bit suspicious.
I could smell the chafing from here.
Ze fallen Madonna with ze big bruises.
“Ohhh Vic, I’ve fallen”
This unpleasantness could all have been avoided if she’d just used a stairlift.
Good joke from Andrew Collins along the lines of this being the only time people will ever say “did you see the fall on the Brits?”
Has Madonna reached the age yet where ‘fell over’ becomes ‘had a fall’?
It does seem a bit odd that none of the dancers seem to react in any way, try and catch her etc
