I don’t keep up with the latest as much these days but I know there a good few fans of the Sounds D’Afrique on here.
Stani Goma does a show which can be played on demand. It is on Melbourne 3PBS , the show is called Flight 106.7 to Africa and it was broadcast on Sunday Jan7.
The first few tracks are included in the attached image.
I can’t link direct to the playback.
The Afropop Worldwide radio show/podcast from PRX in the USA is a good one. The veteran host, Georges Collinet, is very knowledgeable and engaging.
Some African diaspora content from South America and The Carribbean sometimes included.

What a find! Thanks @Mike_H. I dived straight in and am listening to his programme about Cuba, Haiti and Louisiana.
It features an interview from 2005 with this remarkable lady who passed away last year: Gwendolyn Midlo Hall.

Looking through their archive, I can see lots of interesting stuff.
For example:
How the Sound of Saudade Traveled to Ethiopia

Oh yes! I am on for that! What the Ethiopian equivalent to Ipanema??
Thanks to you both for the heads up
Only just catching up on Baaba Maal’s first full album since 2016. Being made a few people’s 2023 list.

Excellent work, Junior. That is a gorgeous song.
I’m looking forward to exploring the other releases that are mentioned above. I’m pleasantly surprised that I still actually know the names of some of the artists!
