There’s serendipity for you. I was going to ask yesterday, but then thought you must be busy with real life and didn’t want to disturb.
I have my monthly database mangling to start today, this will make it go along more smoothly.

Cheers.
Just off out for a few hours but will have a listen later.

Both parts of this podcast have been great thanks a lot chaps!
Can’t remember the New Kingdom performance on “The Word” at all, but I shall investigate further.
On the subject of local music shows, there was one on Yorkshire TV in 1994 called “The Warehouse” filmed, unsurprisingly, at The Warehouse club in Leeds.
It went out late on Fridays and featured (amongst other things) Pulp (just prior to “His N Hers”) Oasis (“Shakermaker” had just come out), Beautiful South, These Animal Men and Frank Sidebottom to name but a few.
It was hosted by comedian Mark Hurst and Simply Red keyboard player Tim Kellett.
There was also one called “Something For The Weekend” which was the Tyne Tees version and had many of the same bands on.
This was the only thing I could find on You Tube to post,a short compilation video.

I remember Pulp being on that show. Jarvis was asked if Sheffield was still a “Sex City” and he slightly refused to join in with the salaciousness of it. It was the first time I’d seen him interviewed and I liked him for that.
LesterTheNightfly says
If I remember rightly it was Tim Kellett doing the interview and at the end he looked at the camera and said something along the lines of “Help please Mark!”

Rapido…. why did Antoine have his arms tied behind his back? No wonder he couldn’t talk properly. Actually between him and The Stone Roses it wasn’t really strong on words that show. Most of the interviewees made Fur Q sound like AJP Taylor.

Didn’t know much of the content being ancient but great fun nonetheless. Bring back “Oh Boy!” I say.

@DogFacedBoy I listened to both episodes today whilst jet-washing my garden path (how the other half live, etc).
Bloody fantastic. You should think about taking up this podcast-hosting lark.
Oh bugger…

I’ve got a pressure washer and marvel that you could hear anything at all, even with the most penetrative earbuds. Loud? You want loud? It’s like having Sunn O))) rehearsing in your garden.
