Tiggerlion joins Twang in the pod, seizes the microphone and subjects the podmaster to a barrage of questions. Much laughter ensues and Tig denies we all have a little emo in us.

Musings on the byways of popular culture
I’m tempted to start a book on how long it takes before Tull gets mentioned. Around 34 minutes in I reckon.
Only in passing P. You got a mention too!
Great Scott!
46 minutes 29 seconds before da Tull gets a mention.
I was beginning to properly fret…
You should give the nice, comfy, warm seat ago. I think you’d be a fascinating listen. I promise you can have an easy, relaxed, professional host not the rank amateur Twang had to put with. 😉
I think everyone can very happily do without more of me in their lives. I thought you made a fine interviewer. It was a splendid listen. Were you wearing kid gloves?
I tried to be gentle.
Anyway, you are wrong. I think a lot of us would enjoy a Pencilcast.
Vote Pencil!
There was a very good 121 with Pencil of course, a great pleasure to do.
I remember this it was like being deftly stroked by Russell Harty. 🤔
Oooh-errr!
Wow!
Five years. seems like yesterday
Five years somehow seems like last year to me. Possibly because I’m coming up to four years of WFH.
The end of that description is very disturbing, especially for Mr Philips.
I must apologise. At one point, I think I refer to Richie Haywood as “Ken”.
Here’s an interesting article on the New Orleans “second line” rhythm:

Great article. That Chocolate Milk album was new to me and is a belter.
Just caught the podcast – a superb listen! Also slightly startling to find that the mighty Tull might be the only band we have in common, @Twang…
Tip of the iceberg old son.
Aye, true enough…
Twang’s office, soundtracked by Twang himself.
!!!Warning: contains explicit guitar porn!!!
I wouldn’t want anyone to think that’s all my guitars….
Phwoooaaarr!
Great podcast as always. Quick question Twang- if you grew up and were in bands around Macclesfield did you ever come across Stephen Morris or Ian Curtis? Would have been about the same age (I’m guessing).
Here are the young men with gloves on their fingers
Thanks Paws. I was at school with Steve Morris so I knew him quite well and even jammed with him once or twice in various scout hut aimless sessions. If you’ve read his book, Phill Swindells, who he talks about, was the drummer in my band.
Ian I didn’t know but my sister knew him pretty well.
I remember Steve telling a few of us that he was off to audition for a punk band which we all thought was hilarious since he was a Hawkwind/Can type guy till then. Oh how we laughed.
Recollections of Knebworth 1976:

And here are the Skynyrd!
Considering how many of us were there, how come no one suggested a mingle?
Too stoned.
Like medjool dates.
I misread that as Med School dates. I preferred Dentists. A lot more fun.
Drugs, mouth action, drilling and filling…
What’s not to like…?
A Cajun wedding march especially for @Kaisfatdad

Splendid stuff @Tiggerlion. Thanks a lot. You spoil me rotten!
I don’t know who these people are, but they make a very agreeable sound.
Just finally gave this a listen while giving the kitchen a deep clean. I find it endlessly fascinating to hear people talk about music and what made them get into certain acts in particular.
This was a really good listen. Thanks! And the kitchen looks lovely,
Glad you had something useful to do while I was droning on!
Just listened to this. It was decidedly odd hearing the subject speaking with the regular interlocutor’s voice! Nice to hear Twang’s own story.
Ta Vince!
Terrific stuff, both of you. Good to hear the tables turned on @twang. some fine choices of music too.
Cheers BB!
