Sat here on Friday morning listening to some of this weeks new releases, one of which is the Tedeschi Trucks Band with Leon Russell doing “Mad Dogs & Englishmen” from LockIn in 2015.
Now the original album is brilliant, but this is superb (even after just one listen!). See comments for first track “The Letter”.
I know there are a few TTD fans on here, but anyone that loves good music should give this a go…..

The Letter…
T.T.B. are a superb band and this is exactly what I expected you that was great
I have this on order and looking forward to hearing the full album
Marvellous. Lowell would have loved this too. On order. Can’t wait. Thanks for alerting me!
Their Layla and other assorted love songs is also a very good listen
There’s a few more clips from this album on their YouTube channel (I won’t post them all on here – easy enough to find if you desire).
Having watched a few times, one thing that struck me is that aside from them all being consummate musicians, there is a sheer joy in the playing – the smiles from other band members etc etc. This is what music should be about.
Ok cant be better than the original Susan v Joe no contest.
I assume the sound is a lot better
This arrived here yesterday. All I want to say is that this gig is f*****g superb. Loose but tight, syncopated with swing, awash with that easy expertise that serves the songs so well. Fantastic line-up giving it their best. If you like Little Feat, if you like Terry Reid, if you like Jess Roden, if you like early Robert Palmer, you will love this. It rocks. Absolutely terrific.
