I stumbled upon this review on Sunday. I don’t mind some of Diana Krall’s stuff, but would never seek it out. This short review piqued my interest and I clicked on the video embedded in the article . Then I popped over to Spotify to hear some more and this track grabbed me. I then discovered it was written by Dylan.
So, there is a lot to enjoy if any of this is up your street, and should you be so inclined, please share something beautiful.

That’s quite wonderful
Isn’t it. Calms me right down.
Thanks for mentioning this. Quite gorgeous stuff.
I was lucky enough to see Ms Krall at the Fasching Jazz Club here a few years back. Magic!
Its a great track and overall a good album (although, I wouldn’t put it up there with her best). I’m still waiting for a proper collaboration with her hubby……
This album is comprised of cuts left over from the 2016 – 2017 sessions that became the album Turn Up The Quiet. They were the last sessions she recorded with her long time friend and creative collaborator Tommy LiPuma who died in 2017 aged 80 and is in part a tribute to him.
Saw her supporting (solo) Neil Young at legendary Massey Hall in Toronto in 2014, a memorable evening.
really lovely
This just randomly came on my iTunes – I have had this album since it was released, but I can’t recall ever hearing this song, although I must have. Maybe I just didn’t appreciate it at the time.
Another cover, just lovely.
Astounding vocals from Zara McFarlane on this.
I think the arrangement here is lovely
And as for Diana Krall, I like what she does here with Joni’s Black Crow
Yes. A very good reworking of probably my favourite track from Hejira. Lots of good piano from Diana. Nice to hear her keyboard skills, which I rate just as highly as her singing.
She even makes old standards like this sound great. A great regret is I actually lived in Paris when this was recorded and could have gone but I didn’t know of her then. Damn!
This – new from Melody Gardot:
Mountain Men – Shaker Quaker music
Mary Halverson feat.Robert Wyatt – gets a bit rowdy in the middle.

Lots of good stuff here since I last looked.
Here is one that’s new, well from 2020 anyway, but sounds like it’s a cover.
Chester Moore II – Turn It On
This always lifts me up.
If we are allowed
