Musings on the byways of popular culture
My daughter is off backbacking in Thailand/Vietnam/india for three to six months. She has asked me for advice re travel insurance. I haven’t travelled like this but I thought some of you may have some experience yourselves or sons/daughters. She is twenty four. Any pointers to particualr companies you have used would be great or any other pointers to help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Help – I’m supposed to go to China later this year (if they’ll grant my visa) – I have been before, sometime ago, in the days before IPods. Now, if I can’t charge me IPod I can’t take any pics… so does anyone know what plaugs they have in China. I’ve looked online but just ened up confused – there seem to be 3 different sorts and I don’t know whether any of the ones I’ve got (AU adapter, US adapter) will work or whether I need to get something else. Adn if so what configuration? How many pins? Angled or not angled? Round or flat? Smoking or non-smoking? If anyone knows anything, that’s more than I do. Any help muchly appreciated.
