The greatest sitcom of all time is 32 and what better way to celebrate than to mix the theme tune with a hit song from each year the show was on TV. Sweet fancy Moses 🙂
I’m surprised at this
Julia Louis-Dreyfus made the sad announcement today that she is suffering from breast cancer. She used her announcement to point out that she has fantastic insurance through her union, and to call for universal health care for those not so fortunate. I wish her well in her recovery, and agree fully with her sentiments, however Julia Louis-Dreyfus is one of the wealthiest women in the US, worth hundreds of millions and probably more since the recent passing of her multi-billionaire father. I’m fairly confident that the union’s coffers will remain untroubled by her treatment.
I find it odd that she’s played the everyman, jobbing-actor card and suspect it will backfire on her. The message would have been even more impactful and honest if she’d said, “While I’m lucky enough to be able to pay for my treatment, millions of Americans aren’t as fortunate” etc etc.
Thoughts?
I have spent most of my spare time the past week watching Seinfeld box sets
Not that there’s anything wrong with that
The single greatest episode of a sitcom
I am putting forward ‘The Contest’ in Seinfeld – in which Jerry and Co. attempt to stay “masters of their domain’ Beautifully written and acted – a tour de force for all the cast and a unique subject for a comedy.
