Has anyone got a PDF of a copy old Word magazine squirrelled away from June or July 2009 (either the Iggy or Bono cover), I think.

It is the source of one of my proudest moments (almost as good walking in form making a cup of tea one morning from the kitchen, to hear Danny Baker reading out my Monkeys Dressed as Famous People, posted in the old place, on 5Live one morning -, which included Churchill, and Brian Blessed dressed as Vultan from Flash Gordon). There’d been some beef concerning Rod Liddle, and I had written a letter expressing some opinions on the matter.

I got an email from Mark Ellen saying that it was going to be published (with a little editing), but that when it had been received in the office, he’d read it aloud and it had received a standing ovation. That gave me a warm glow for a while, especially as Liddle went to school in my hometown of Middlesbrough (Nunthorpe School, as it happens).
