On October 29th 1969 the first message was sent through the ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency NETwork) between the four remotely located computers that it consisted of. The message was “LO”. It was supposed to be “LOGIN” but the network crashed after the first two letters. And so what eventually became the Internet was born.
Dutch website might interest some
I just recently came across this Dutch website that I’m really enjoying. The story behind some great songs from the artist themselves is particularly interesting. RLJ on Chuckie E’s In Love, Plastic Bertrand on Ca Plane Pour Moi, Roger Hodgson on The Logical Song, Hugh Cornwall on Golden Brown, Paul Roberts on Driver’s Seat, etc etc.

What have you learnt today?
Catching up with yesterday’s Guardian I discover that pornography’s Richard Desmond is a jazz drummer and is in a band with Roger Daltrey, modestly named The RD Crusaders.
Given that the band formed in 2003 I’m mystified as to how this juicy nugget has eluded me until today.
Here they are doing unspeakable things to Start Me Up.
Anyone else discovered something worth sharing with the group?
