Pink Floyd – Animals 5.1 mix

After a couple of years in limbo the new stereo / 5.1 mix of Animals is finally getting a release (no date yet though). It’s seems the hold up was due to the sleeve notes and not who did the mix.
Whilst I am very much looking forward to this, the pettiness between Roger and David is bizarre – read his announcement and watch the video. Wouldn’t surprise me if it gets cancelled again due to the way Roger announced it……
Also, he’s writing his memoirs.

Readers, meet Tony (named by my wife, who knows nobody by that name). Tony weighs more than me (probably), once started eating my motorbike (got through half the exhaust cover before discovery), lets puppies crawl into his mouth, stops to smell flowers and watch passing butterflies, loves standing in torrential rain but will NOT have a bath. Used to sit on Khu-Kii (second biggest dog) like a chair.
Dogs are great. Cats are shit.

Dog identification

We have no idea what breed our (rescue) dog is. Always figured she was the product of generations of inbreeding on the streets of Romania (sorry, you can’t escape Eastern European immigration even on a thread about dogs), and were never that bothered about it. Over the weekend my brother pointed me to a BBC report about the legacy of Chernobyl (we have a right old laugh together, we do). The dog that’s in this clip from about 52 seconds in is the absolute spit of our bad tempered, funny looking, much loved pooch. Would anyone like to hazard a guess to her lineage? Even if you don’t, you’ll still have seen an elderly peasant woman playing an accordion while a dog howls along, so KFD at least will be happy.
