I was just reminded about Thee Hypnotics, a band I used to see live in the nineties with a great Stooges/MC5 image and sound. After they split, the Jim Jones Revue (apparently) continued the dirty, noisy rock’n’roll sound (clip featured). It puts me in mind of a kind of genre or feel of music – sort of Cramps, Gallon Drunk, Gun Club, Lounge Lizards, Morphine, Barry Adamson, Eat – grimey, loose, swampy sound.

Anyone else inspired to get down and dirty with some mucky music?
