Nice interview with Bonnie Raitt in The Guardian yesterday that some Afterworders might like. Looking forward to seeing her live next month. That is all.
This’ll do…
Two of my favourite singers. From a couple of nights ago, in Holland.
This
is what I’m talking about. This.

Consummate guitarist.
George Marinelli has a new album out. He is Bonnie Raitt’s right hand man (see 3 posts below) but has also been releasing his own stuff for years. He is in my Top 10 favourite guitarists. He is also great to watch on stage, with Bonnie. Lurking in the shadows, punctuating her vocals and slide with a lick, a chord, a phrase. Just like Michael Landau in James Taylor’s band, they serve the song.
George also has a holder on his mic stand for a pint of Guinness. That’ll do for me.
George!
George Marinelli, Bonnie Raitt’s right hand man, has a new album coming out. Here is the first video. Great guitar playing from a lovely guy. Oh, and he loves a pint of Guinness.
What’s not to like?
A couple of mates, yakking.
George Marinelli’s excellent youtube channel, Sideman, has a new interview up. This is with his long time friend and band-mate, Hutch Hutchinson. I could listen to musicians of this calibre talking for hours. As you would expect for someone that has been Bonnie Raitt’s right-hand man for 32 years, Hutch comes across as a lovely man. Imagine a night in a bar with these guys.
