Just for fun. Can you name the rock star who plays the Antedean dignitary in the photo? That’s him on the right in the purple doodad. I expect a correct answer by the time I awake in the morning. No cheating or googling and have a cup of tea ready. Thank you.

Alice Cooper, perhaps? Guessing, based on the date and the fact that Star Trek was probably made in LA.
That’s The Next Generation, not TOS – the doctor is Commander Katherine Pulaski , not Bones McCoy or the lovely Christine Chapel
No idea who the Purple People Eater is
What’s your problem with Beverley Crusher? Eh?Eh?
Wesley Crusher
“Wheeeeaton!!!”
I came on here to say exactly that. Another possibility would be Harry Nilsson.
Based on the tags for the post, I’m going with Rick Ashley……. 😉
I do. But I’m sad like that. Perhaps the character should have had a Tusk?
That’s just a Rumour, surely?
Is it Mutter Slater?
Is it Tony McPhee?
Is it Vernon Dudley Bohay-Nowell?
It’s got to be someone we wouldn’t expect. I’m putting my money on AW favourite Van Morrison.
You’re taking the Mick, aren’t you?
Oh Well. it was a Mystery To Me at first, but I had a cup of tea and a Penguin and thought about it.
Do where is my cup of tea? Nevermind…I have settled on a coffee instead.
Yes it is indeed Mick Fleetwood. The lady is Samantha Fox as Diana Muldaur. The next one is much easier. Who is playing Yelgrun the Ferengi? Clue: it’s not Rick Astley.

Looks like his eyes are about to ‘Pop’ out of his head.
Told you it was easy. You win a copy of Green Christmas 2015 CD. Almost available at no shops.
So it was a trap? Oh heck.
And he played a Vorta, not a Ferengi….
oh God, why do I know this?
You want another easy one? This actress appeared in Star Trek and released a version of John Lennon’s Imagine as a single in 1983.
Nichelle Nichols is I think is the only actress in Star Trek. If I was her Agent I’d have gone with a version of Who Are You called Uhura with Spock, Bones and Scotty going ooh ooh ooh ooh in a doo wop style.
You mean like this. Brent Spiner, backed by Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, LeVar Burton and Michael Dorn.
PS. There have been many actresses in Star Trek. Some only appeared in one episode. Hint.
Joan Collins?
*runs in front of speeding car*
WE HAVE A WINNER! This song is dedicated to you.
If I had said “Star Trek actor who performed Imagine” the answer would have been Scott Bakula.
https://youtu.be/EtojWjZpX1Q
Who knew that our Joan played the love interest of Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra in the same scene?
Damn you. Why does the Scott Bakula video not appear. Just click on the thingy.
I was going to ask about another rock star appearing in ST but, frankly, I have never heard of Tom Morello or Rage Against The Machine.
So instead, can you name;
1) a member of a royal family that made an appearance in Star Trek.
2) a person who played themselves in an episode
Remember, this is just for fun. It’s no use trying to bribe me for the answers. Here is my Amazon wish list anyway….
1) Was it Prince Charles as a Ferengi?
2) Stephen Hawking?
Just saw Scott Bakula in Shatners’s The Captains documentary “The Captains” on Netflix (aka Shatner goes around annoying people). Scott does not seem to be ageing at all somehow.
1) Not quite
2) Correct.
Scott is currently the lead actor in CSI: New Orleans. Rather good it is too, if you like that kind of thing.
King Hussein of Jordan played the sexy green lady in the closing titles – FACT*
is it Camilla?

*not a fact
There we have it. King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein did appear as an extra whilst on a visit to the set.

Name a favourite Star Trek related piece of music. This is just magic, featuring Ben Folds and Joe Jackson.
Spirit’s Future Games is a particularly fine album, with loads of Star Trek samples – particularly from the Turnabout Intruder episode. Released in 1977, over a decade before most went heavy on samples.
Is it Pete Burns?
I thought I would post this song, a Swedish pop hit called Beam Me Up by Cazzette. I expected it to be terrible, but no!
Quite agreeable.
I was amused to watch the vid and see the two guys performing with giant cassettes on their heads too. That’s exactly what most gigs look like these days too.
Lots of cute girls bouncing around in bikinis having a lot of fun. Which probably explains why I don’t go to any. Far too enjoyable!
That really looks like a US video though, doesn’t it? In your experience, is this recognisably Swedish?
The video is obviously filmed in North America. But the music and the atmosphere bear a lot of resemblance to the little I know about Swedish House Mafia, Avicii etc.
Not really my genre of music, so I’d be loathe to try and make an comment about it having a distinctly Swedish sound to it.
