Inspired by the ‘final words’ thread. What songs/pieces of music can we think of where the only words involved are the title? John McLaughlin has one or two examples in his ouevre, the most obvious being ‘Are You The One, Are You The One?’ from 1978 (it’s drummer Tony Williams providing the voice).

Doop – Doop (Shite number one from 94)
The Only Ones’ “Instrumental” isn’t quite there, but it’s close…
Oh! I just thought of one: “Minimum Wage” by Afterword favourites They Might Be Giants.
Curses! beaten to it…
Does John Martyn’s “solid Air” count?
The only words are “Waaa-donnow-ya-waadonnow-jabeedoo-bee-doo-livinon-Solid Air”
Mongo Santamaria’s wonderful Watermelon Man should count.
I’d be glad to know which dance step the girl in the cover is doing. It seems to involve spanking one’s own buttocks.
I think it’s called the “Look Out Folks, I’ve Had The Cauliflower Cheese”.
I posted this on the ‘songs to cheer you up’ thread but you really can’t have too much of this good thing. Nortec Collective and Tengo la Voz. Those are the only words; no idea what they mean or indeed their relation to the flying bus in the video. Looks like a laugh though.
Well. There is a bit of an ntroduction, then…

This is the first Acid House record, released 7 years before the second summer of love. Kraftwerk would never be ahead of the game again – but arguably nobody would ever be as ahead of the game as this.
You could have had Spacelab, Ohm Sweet Ohm, Metropolis, Ananas Symphonie….

Pennsylvania 65000.
Wipe Out by the Surfaris
These are all good suggestions. I had a feeling there’d be a few.
“Je t’aime” is pretty close, perhaps ?
Phish have a song called “David Bowie”.
The complete lyrics are “David Bowie – UB 40”.

With the greatest of respect to the good Leftenant, that record is and has always been a pile of pebbly-white shite.
