As NZ moves through the levels, the takeaways are back. There’s now a McDonalds TV ad which features Mark Morrison’s Return of the Mack to announce this. Geddit? Genius. More nose candy for that “creative” over there with the man bun who has an edgy profile on Linked In.
It was a hit song at the time of course but it must feel utterly brilliant to have accidentally written a song that a large company takes on about 20 years later.
I am not talking about Levis ads, where they use a song because they like it – I’m more interested in serendipitous windfalls (TMFTL).
