Bright and sunny here in wonderful Yorkshire. Bit chilly though.

I sort of assumed it’s always snowing in Scotland.

Even we here “crosses fingers vigorously” don’t often get snow that late.

Rode the Honda to / from a dance near Derby yesterday.
Outward journey : joyous sunny ride over the Staffordshire Moorlands with crystal clear panoramas across the Peak District and the lovely rolling folds of South Derbyshire.
Return journey : not even the pre-planned multiple layers under my leathers could hold off plummeting core body temperature. The desperate hack up the A50 couldn’t finish soon enough.
I’m off to The Lakes on Friday, can anyone tell me whether there’s snow on the tops?

It’s a Bank Holiday. Does that give you a clue? Expect traffic jams from Watford Gap.

If I go anywhere near Watford Gap on my way to The Lakes, I am seriously in trouble.

Vote SNP. An end to snow in April!!! It is probably Tory snow, from Westminster.

Would it piss you off if I told you that it’s 85 degrees here ? There’s a gentle breeze and the sun, set in a cloudless, azure sky, is glinting off the ocean.
It would? Oh, well I won’t then.

Depends where you are though. You could be in Hilda Ogden’s living room, looking at the muriel with the heating turned up.
