Snow coming down now south of London. Hope everyone on their commute home round the country has a safe one and is not stuck on the roads/public transport for hours (though those who usually use on Southern Rail are no doubt pretty strike-wearied apart from the weather).

Has to be done…

Snow later made a record called “I’ve Been Hurt” to which the standard response went “You f***ing will be, pal”.
(oh dear, that will probably incur an injunction from that little twerp with his Answering Pop Stars Back website)
Just putting the final logistical arrangements in place this evening for TheLovelyJulie+daughter’s move-in here tomorrow… which has required an unscheduled trip to Homebase for rocksalt and huge grippy rubbermats.
So it’d better bluddy freeze tonight.
Here’s Paul with the traffic:

A little sleet here only, so far in South West Herts. Gritting trucks are out and it it looks like it may freeze overnight.
I have all my essentials here, but I was hoping to get rid of some junk at the council dump before the weekend.
The gritting trucks didn’t get very far in my neck of the woods yesterday, judging by local reports. Lots of traffic chaos and cars grappling with the hills. And probably, as Jeff above posted, slip sliding away. Snow still on the ground here!
Oh no. I’m sitting in Calais waiting for Le Shuttle. Looks like I’m for it. Lots of sleet here, and strong winds.
Giggling like a 13 year old boy here at that last sentence (think French accent).
Sorry.
Funny that Jeff posted Paul Simon above – I was humming “I Am A Rock” earlier today as I looked out on a “freshly fallen silent shroud of snow”, one of my favourite lines from my favourite lyricist.
