   Am a big fan of hers – her music was always joyous. I heard her interviewed on the radio last year. She spoke candidly of her illness and sounded like a lot of fun. My regret is I never saw her live where she apparently excelled.

   Very sad news. I did catch her once at Roskilde and she was wonderful. A real show and a half.

   Yeah made the most of the back half of her life. Prison guard then fronting one heck of s soul/funk band.
   Down here a lot – best gig was a hot sweaty pub gig.

   The Daptone Super Soul Revue (especially SJ & the Dap Kings) was the highlight of 2014s BBC Glasto coverage for me. Sensational stuff.
