Cheers Colin, we’ve listened to and greatly enjoyed some of Sarah’s albums and have just bought tickets for Castle Hedingham (which is, might I say, a sod of a long way to come the night after playing Penzance).
Splendid – I think you’ll have a great evening! I was worried for a moment today that I might have double booked Sarah’s only NI gig (c.40 mins drive from me) with a Martin & Eliza Carthy gig in Dublin… and thus might have to also drive to the Dublin area (2+ hours) to see her on another date. Thankfully I was mistaken – so, two terrific shows, I hope, on Jan 28 & 29… plus Mark Lewisohn on Jan 25 and Wookalily on Jan 21 🙂
Hi Colin, yes, Martin and Eliza gig are actually playing in Dublin the same night that I’m playing in Dublin, which is very bad news for me but very good news for you! Looking forward to it! 🙂
We might need to have a post-gig drink somewhere… 🙂
Oh that’s great news, thank you so much! And yes, it’s a long auld drive — we’re actually going to drive 2 hours up the road after the Acorn gig finishes, just to make the drive on the Saturday a little shorter! Looking forward to seeing you there!

Coming to Northwich-on-Weaver in May.
‘Singing hey-nonny-no at the dawn of the day…’
Sorry, Chesh, but that sounded entirely like the opening line of a folk song! (‘The Ballad of Sarah McQuaid’?)
