I’ve been binging this and now I’ve plowed through all the sixteen episodes in one week. Since they only publish one a month I’ll miss the daily dose. They haven’t even reached my favourite era yet (’68-’73), which, with monthly posting, is a year or so away. They’re up to All Summer Long, one of the best early albums. Brian is just about to stop touring and get serious with Today! and Pet Sounds.
Anyway. Hosts Wyatt and Jason (both members of a tribute band) are full of love for and knowledge about the boys, I’m learning a lot, and they’re making a rainy Monday fly by.
The section where they read e-mails from listeners is also a highlight. It’s nice to hear people share how they discovered The Beach Boys and what the music means to them.
So if you’re a fan – jump in and enjoy!

Thanks. Looking forward devouring these.
Back in the late 90’s/early 00’s the “Sea of Tunes” label released 21 studio outtake bootlegs of the BBs. They’re currently being made available by bigozine2 as The Beach Boys – Unsurpassed Masters. Five volumes in so far beginning with this –

The early stuff is just so charming.

Listened to the first one today. Just seemed like two blokes saying ‘awesome’ and ‘cool’ a lot. Might give the second a go to see if it improves, but not impressed. Didn’t tell me anything I don’t already know.

Well, the first episode is them listing their favourite albums. They then do each album song by song.
