This may sound picky about an excellent article but where is this Elsdon in Yorkshire the only one I know is in Northumberland (I’ve stayed there a few times). Geoff Heslop I recall was with Rubber Records based in Newcastle, so I can’t understand why it says Yorkshire. Picky I know sorry.
Geoff tells me the building is still there, heading towards dereliction.

Exactly. I read the story (probably untrue) that Elton has fresh flowers delivered to every one of his houses every day so if he decides to go there he knows there will be flowers. Hundreds of grand a year on flowers he never sees.
Thinking about it, Jimmy Page could cough up a bit. Ease his conscience a bit maybe.
