The Suffering son from Regard the end is monumental. Anyone not familiar with Willard Grant Conspiracy should check out that song as an example of what this guy could do.
Seconded the Suffering Song, fabulously bleak. Saw the band live at the Ceol Castle in Brum about 12 years ago. Stupendous.
Sadly a build like his was never likely destined for longevity: perhaps a larger waist than height.
That is very sad news. Saw WGC 2 or 3 times and have most of their albums.
Robert couldn’t have been that old. I’d have put him in his late fifties or early sixties.
RIP.
That makes me incredibly sad. Some of my favourite and most moving tunes have been from WGC.
I missed his last Australian tour, purely out of ignorance – only noticed a flier the day after the Sydney gig and I’ve been kicking myself ever since. One final kick in memoriam.

I only have the Let It Roll album, but I really like it. Sad news.
That’s sad to hear. Have several WGC albums and they all deserve more attention

Ach, what a shame. I saw WGC and Robert Fisher solo on jaunts with Jackie Leven several times. Rest In Peace big man.
