Many fans bemoaning the fact that Rob Key remains.
You’d think next in line.
According to the ECB he leaves the team well set and poised to achieve great things……which begs the question why get rid of him then?
Basball was fun and delivered some great highs but also some ridiculous lows.
Tavareball will now follow with 20 runs scored per 50 balls in Tests.
Thank God. Three years too late.
The English football team used to be the basket case but, spotting a gap in the market with the retirement of Wayne Rooney, the cricketers have taken over with aplomb!
Following the dismissal Key has said – “Some of England’s most memorable moments in recent history have occurred under Brendon’s leadership of the Test team. It’s been an absolute privilege to watch him shape the mentality of the team, to one the players have loved, and see him develop a new generation of talent who will be at the heart of England men’s teams for years to come. He leaves the Test team well set and poised to achieve great things”.
Which begs the question why has he been sacked? They must rate him as he’s keeping the white ball gig. Surely if Baz goes then Key must go as well? Though Key’s boss Richard Gould has this to say about Key “He’s got a really good brain, he’s a good communicator, he’s got extraordinary knowledge of what goes on within our game in England,”
Strange given all this wonderful talent that we have lost 7 of our last 9 Tests.
Key is such a good communicator he must have had his fingerprints all over the latest nonsensical epistle about the team’s issues with alcohol.
