Ringo’s 1973 solo album, ‘Ringo’, has a strong claim to being one of the best solo Fabs projects. It was potentially the start of something but also an ending. Nothing Is Real podcast tries to sort these things out.

Made it about to end of side 1 through while running last night in ridiculous heat. Did you actually mention the podcast was being released on his 80th birthday?
Once more a very enjoyable listen, but I feel you overrate the album a tad. Photograph is indeed a great song, I would maybe put it in the top 20 solo efforts. Otherwise I’m the Greatest and Sunshine Life for me are below average considering the songwriters. You’re Sixteen is ok, but even at the age of 32 (never mind 80!), is a little morally dubious. Side 2 is fairly poor, only Macca’s effort above average in my book.
Still look forward to your views on side 2!

I liked it back then but haven’t listened it since the year of release and have no desire to now. Marc Bolan plays lead guitar on one track I recall.
