Musings on the byways of popular culture
And the longer (1hour) version is on Radio 2 at 10pm on Monday.
Ta Min
I will try and catch this at one time or another, or maybe on iPlayer.
Thanks for the alert because I hadn’t spotted it in RadioTimes.
From Andy’s Facebook.
In New York, recently, recording my documentary Highway 61 – Fifty Years On (BBC Radio 2, tonight, at 10pm), I met up with Daniel Kramer, who had been Bob Dylan’s personal photographer throughout much of 1965. Daniel took the shot of Bob which is on the cover of Highway 61 Revisited, an image which came to be emblematic of the age.
I interviewed Daniel at the steps of the house, at 4 Gramercy Park, on which Dylan was sitting when he took the shot – the home of Bob’s formidable manager, Albert Grossman.
Daniel hadn’t been back to that address in the fifty years since he took the photo. And he honoured me with this snap, taken in exactly the same position.
