I went to the middle night of the 3, it was the summer I lost my Dad (3 months after, to be precise) and I was struggling a bit. My friend Ange (living in Edinburgh as she still does) accompanied me and figuratively saved my life, bless her. As she continues to do, without knowing, I’m sure.
Stereolab supported, it was really windy, and they omitted Everybody Hurts from the set that night. Which was probably a good thing, as I may have cried like a baby.
Amazing place to see one of my favourite bands. (Man on the Moon was performed to the backdrop of the moon rising over the stage.) Unlike the City Ground in Nottingham where I saw them the time after that, which was pretty pants as a venue.
Thanks for the info, Chrisf. Good one.
