Forewarned is forearmed! Danny Dyer is marching back.
I freely admit I am posting this because I think that the headline is one for the ages.

The BTL comments on this are also very funny, often not intentionally. “Get this frightful oik orf of my television” roar the great progressive readership of the Graun. Jesus god there are some pompous twats out there.
A comment I (sort of) agree with is a suggestion as the next James Bond (Diamond Geezers Are Forever?).
And if not that role then maybe the new Doctor Who (Doctor Whoyoufackinlookinat)
Davros you tart you are goin DAHHHHHN

Bravo!
I like Danny Dyer.
I think he knows exactly what he’s doing and he’s done very well out of it.
Nice one Bruv’!
Word. As some folks have pointed out, Harold Pinter rated him and you can’t dismiss that.
I meant…. you can’t……dismiss….. that

No, you’re right.
I think I recently watched the Most Danny Dyer film ever. It was called Vendetta, a revenge thriller involving Danny offing the thugs who killed his parents in a variety of gruesome ways. Like Statham without the subtlety. It was dreadful but I stuck with it. Let those of you without sin cast the first stone…. Ouch!
On a lighter note, this was one of the funniest and certainly the sweariest things I’ve heard all year. A must for anyone who enjoys their Dyer undiluted. Here Lies Danny Dyer with Kathy Burke.
Like @bamber I’ve watched Vendetta. I’ve also watched every Jason Statham film, every Scott Adkins film, all the Rise Of The Footsoldier films, and pretty much everything starring Craig Fairbrass. I paid £9.99 to watch Equalizer 3 on the youtube the other day (obv I’ve seen 1 and 2, duh!). Whether this is connected in any way to the ADHD I posted about isn’t for me to say.
Isn’t Craig Fairbrass one of the blokes out of Right Said Fred?
Ever seen Nobody with Saul Goodman? He out Liam Neesons Jason Statham et al in my favourite screen fight. (Jason Statham’s not in it. Nor is Liam Neeson. But they’d get whooped for sure if they were. As would Danny Dyer and Right Said Fred.)
Bang on the money, @gary . I’ve seen Nobody a couple of times. Magnificent. And yes, that bus scene is superlative.
Incidentally, in another life (in the late 90s), I was round at Lenny (The Guv’nor’) McLean’s house (doing an interview for a sports magazine), and Craig Fairbrass rang him regarding playing him in a biopic.
Re Nobody, one of my favourite bits is when he goes looking for clues among some hardnuts in a tattoo parlour. It looks like things might go awry, before one tough guy sees Nobody’s army/special forces tattoo and flees the room, and then (IIRC) locks the door behind him, several times, just in case. A neat, instant way of indicating that our hero is a man to be feared.
Craig Fairbrass appears in the rather wonderful Boat Story which has just concluded on BBC 1, and only someone who fancied eating their Christmas dinner through a straw would argue he was anything less than blimmin excellent.
…what’s the verdict on his performance in Twin Peaks?
Thank god you’re back! I thought you’d taken offense
at my Logan Roy impression over on the other thread
Ere guv, that bird Laura Palmer’s in a woight old two and eight
Logan Roy? Didn’t he used to appear with Basil Brush?
Boom! Boom!
Run for your lives, he’s got a shootah!
