That nice Mr Paphides tweeted a link to this and what a treat it is. Full House era line-up of Fairport Convention with the addition of Linda Thompson. Right proper music that.
Happy Friday

Just the ticket, Monsieur Duvet.
Fabulous time travel to the non-Fairport years, when they each played on each others records, Smiddyburn, the R&L T records etc. Wonderful. I remember seeing the R< band twice in 1979/80, each at the Venue, near Victoria Station, in London. This was before the release of Shoot out the Lights and, memorably, Richard apologised, saying they currently had no record contract….
Usual monumentally restrained drumming from Mattacks
Tip-top bass-playing from Dave Pegg. Very melodic.
Really enjoying this little gem, thanks for posting!

Nice one. Even better my YouTube went straight in to a Mock Tudor era Richard Thompson band show I hadn’t seen. The link below is a longer version of the same show (I haven’t seen it all, so for all I know it’s only longer because it’s full of ads – enjoy anyway).
