Just a heads up that Ralph ‘The Ralphmeister’ McLean at BBC Radio Ulster is having a 60s British R&B show tonight on his Rock’n’Soul show.
The likes of Them, Animals, Yardbirds in the first hour (8-9) and the Pretty Things in conversation in the second hour (9-10).
Available to ‘listen again’ or whatever it’s called if you miss it tonight…

Thank you Colin. It’s going to make me nostalgic for Mark Lamarr, I remember The Pretty Things being in session on God’s Jukebox and they were great.

Never mind then!
The Pretty Things are still making great music, check out their latest `The Sweet Pretty Things….`, probably one of the finest albums they have recorded.
The Actual North says
The Pretties are a massively ignored gem.
Wonderfully British, and although I despise the term, they at least match those referred to as ‘national treasures’.

Great live too, widely seen as the unlikely stars of this years Lunar festival, yes, ahead of Wilko. Certainly my faves, with the well preserved Phil May happy to chat with punters afterwards.
