They said it couldn’t be done but here we are, edition 2 is ready for download now, which, in the ever escalating world of media crisis makes us something of a national institution already.
We are continuing with our theme of letting interviews stretch for as short or long a time as feels natural, or until our welcome has been so far outstayed that the Police are called. So it is that we feature epics with John Altman, the George Martin of The Rutles, and Dave Gregory, guitarist extraordinaire with XTC and the up and coming Tin Spirits.
Norway’s premier songstress Silje Leirvik was generous enough with her time to indulge in an email interview that went back and forth and putative record company mogul Sam Slater talked about new Birmingham jazz label Stoney Lane.
The archives gave up an old radio interview with Phil Collins and a bit of plaque polishing – not a euphemism – put us in mind of Richard Wright. Finally, and sadly, as we were completing the issue, the death of Chris Squire demanded recognition too.
We continue to sail off into the deep and distant waters of soup to nuts conversation and will return with issue three as the leaves turn to gold – we’ve got a can of paint.
So come with us why don’t you? And bring your friends. We appreciate your support.

I forgot to mention, it’s pay as much as you like from £1 upwards, and we take PayPal and credit cards.
Issue 3 is in the works already would you believe…

Nice! You had me at Dave Gregory. Purchased. I do miss they days of people hawking fanzines (which I’m guessing this is the modern day equivalent of).
molesworth says
At my advanced age, I should know better than to be writing fanzines, but the opportunity it gives to spend an hour talking to Dave Gregory, Steve Hackett, Michael Timmins, Geoff Downes, Matt Stevens, John Altman et al is just a privilege.
At the risk of getting terribly, terribly sentimental, its also a joy to get a response from people who have enjoyed it, so thank you very kindly.

Wonderful interview with Dave Gregory. Great stuff – keep it coming. I shall post the link far & wide!

Glad you enjoyed it Niall. Dave was so helpful and generous with his time. It’s a proud boast to say the great man made me a cup of coffee while we talked about Todd Rundgren….who’d have thought such a thing could happen?
Edition 3 will, God willing, be around rather quicker. David Rhodes, Jerry Marotta, Anthony Phillips, Dave Pegg on John Bonham, Mandala and a bunch of other audio files glare accusingly at me, awaiting transcription…

P.F.A.T. is an excellent read and well put together, I don`t know the guys apart from their secret I.D.s but they deserve a lot of credit and if you are into any of the artist(s) mentioned P.F.A.T. is highly recommended.
Just read that long sentence back and I didn`t mean for it to be so fawning, P.F.A.T. is shite really! ; ))
molesworth says
Thank you for your finely chiselled fawning. Much appreciated, I shall carry it to my grave. Once there, I’ll be incapable of doing anything with it.
