I caught this on the radio this morning. US pop-rockers Train have taken Hoagy Carmichael’s ‘Heart and Soul’ and re-booted it for the Magic FM generation. I wonder if this is likely to become fashionable? If so, can we expect, say, an adaptation of ‘Blue Moon’ by Little Mix? Or perhaps an autotune-heavy ‘Easter Parade’ from The Weeknd? How about a nice rendition of ‘Umpa Umpa’ from A$AP Rocky?

I too was pushing the cultural envelope as I drove to work this morning, listening to Rant by The Futureheads, an a cappella album which is only 5 years old. They do nice covers of songs by Black Eyed Peas, Kelis and, um, Sparks and RT’s Beeswing:-
Jeezus, that’s shite…..
I only lasted about 20 seconds.
More than I did.
That’s wank
Nothing new under the sun. A massive hit for Stackridge in 1976. Reggae + Beatles.
I prefer this version. The very opposite of autotune, in that they sing flat all the way through…
