First gig in a newly-renovated venue in Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire.
Straw Bear are utterly unique, utterly brilliant, and big on 6Music. A three-guitar lineup with songs about Van The Man, land witches, dogs and randy urban foxes. Launching their new Electric Guitar EP.
Sam Inglis is the features editor of Sound On Sound magazine, singing trad songs in a modern funk-pop style with the help of guitar virtuoso David Youngs.
Frenzy are five young things from the local secondary college playing their own strand of original power pop.
There will be a full bar including a selection of locally-brewed microbrewery ales at below pub prices.

Play Papworth is a not-for-profit group run by music-loving volunteers. Any profits will be donated to local community projects.

Apparently, David Youngs has mastered playing the bass and the drums simultaneously. This I am curious to see – last time I saw him he only had the two arms.
