I’m sure I’m not the only one on here that would absolutely love another album from The Blue Nile, but have accepted that it’s highly unlikely to happen, and occasional solo offerings are all we are going to get.
There was a flutter of activity a few years ago with Paul Buchanan with his excellent Mid Air album. Now we have a new collective from another member, PJ Moore.
The album “When A Good Day Comes” is out now and available on CD / Digital from their website (https://www.pjmooreandco.com/store) with vinyl due in Dec. Not seen it on any of the other usual music stores, so not sure if it’s exclusive from their website.

I’m trying to work out what building in Glasgow that was shot in. The new Art School? Or is it the other side? I recognise the cityscape but can’t work out the direction it is facing.
Arthur, the singer is Mike McKenzie, who won the 2019 BBC Singer Songwriter of the Year award. He’s a lot younger (and a lot balder) than PJ or composer/guitarist/producer Malcolm Lindsay.

Facing the wrong direction for the Reid Building, Arthur.
The view is looking north-east toward the western end of the Strathclyde University campus: the pink building is the College of Building and Printing, the building over his right shoulder is the Thomas Graham Building and you can see the Livingston Tower in the right hand pane. On that basis, his location is south-west of George Square – maybe somewhere in Queen Street?

@Arthur-Cowslip – this is a pure coincidence BUT see the building at the end of the song, when they’re dancing on the roof? Look down at the shape of the windows as the camera pulls out…

I just put the Coltrane song on for a laugh. Then I thought I’d listen to it, hadn’t watched it for ages. Then I spotted that final shot, looking back west along St Vincent Street and – eureka! Total coincidence!
