Public Image Limited are touring a new album in the autumn. I saw a couple of stops on the last jaunt and they were most impressive, head thumping good nights out. Mr L in great voice and attitude with kick ass band in tow. None of the panto schtick of The Pistols, old tunes still as razor sharp as they were with Wobble n Levene.
The previous gig at Sub89 was aces so think I shall go for that again – great little club with awesome sound

They were very very good last time I saw them in Bristol. I reckon I’ll go again.
They were very good couple of times I’ve seen them. Lydon plays it straight with no punk panto antics, he means it maaaaan…plus the guy can really sing, Lydon in full effect is something to behold. As DFB says the current line up are more than a match for Levene/Wobble including the mighty Bruce Smith of Pop Group/Slits on the drum stool. Deff recommended
Toured Australia last year. Reports were excellent.

Agreed. I tend to think that the advantage of ye olde heritage act is that they’re working with better technology than in the days of yore. So what you’re hearing is classic songs with all your favourite bits left in.
When I saw PiL the year before last they did the Leftfield song Open Up, and to hear that faithfully reproduced, with force-of-nature Lydon reaching an extraordinary crescendo on the ‘Burn, Hollywood, burn!’ lyric, was absolutely spectacular. Afterwards I felt as though I’d been rearranged.
