Short film about the experiment
I’ve seen two movies dramatising the experiment. The Experiment (2010) with Adrien Brody and Forest Whitaker and The Standford Experiment (2015) with Ezra Miller and Billy Crudup. Both good films, as I recall.
As I recall there has been some recent debunking of the Stanford Prison Experiment reporting that some or all of the guards were playing up to their roles, acting in ways they thought they were expected to or even instructed to.
Anyone with even a limited knowledge of either prisons and/or scientific methodology would surely have seen the fatal limitations of the approach. Presumably not, given someone stumped up the cash to fund it.
